I've had mostly small dogs but friends and family (plus working in a shelter) has made me appreciate large breeds too

My heart melts though for Miniature Dachshunds...uh, when I see some I just melt!

I had a Papillon/Corgi mix and she was so sweet

And Pugs too have a special place in my heart

So what's your fave breed?

I have a special place in my heart for labrador retrievers. I love large breed dogs! We don't have our dog right now, he's back in California living w/ my SIL. But if we had a bigger yard I want to have 3 labs...one yellow, one black, and one chocolate. My other SIL has a bull mastiff, and he is the biggest baby. I wouldn't mind having one of those, but they're really big. My MIL has a St. Bernard and a yellow lab. I'm more of a big dog person...I've never been around little dogs.

OH labs are wonderful dogs My MIL had a couple but they have since passed

Bull Mastiff!  Those are beautiful but yeah really big!  and a St. Bernard!  I've only been around one in my life on Maui and just the sweetest gentlest dog ever!

Now you got me thinking I should look into getting one of those LOL

Oh, we had soo many mutts growing up that I think they make the best dogs! They were all rescues and I think that, somehow, they knew that we had saved them and they were all wonderful dogs! My surprising favorite ends up being a little Yorkie-Mini-poodle mix - I NEVER liked little "yappy dogs" and I think she knew it and made it her goal to win me over! Well, she certainly did and I miss her terribly! She's back in NC with my dad :(

I never knew how intoxicating the smell of a new baby could be. I never realized how little sleep I would actually NEED. I never thought that I could spend my whole day staring at this little miracle God has given us.... Then again, that was BEFORE I was a mommy.

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted a Siberian Husky.  I think it had something to do with the movie White Fang.  I know I know, poor things are miserable in Hawaii weather, although they'd probably really comfortable right now!

BeansMommy our dog now is a mutt...he's the best dog I've ever had, from the humane society and is just great with the kids, good guard dog and pretty smart too

Dogs from shelters ABSOLUTELY know that you're saving their life, I worked at one for about a year and if you ever want a dog/puppy or any other animal for that matter, go to your nearest shelter
